Amtech have now expanded the GNC LAN-Motion control software with a range of

LAN -I/O units. Giving the flexibility to add remote input and output devices up to 100 meters apart, the units offer both digital and analogue input and output options. These units are simple to configure within the GNC software and easy to connect, just requiring a power supply and a standard Ethernet cable. Each LAN-I/O unit has two embedded Ethernet switch ports that allow information to flow to another local Ethernet device or to be daisy chained to another LAN-I/O device. The Ethernet daisy chaining feature of the LAN-I/O devices not only increases connections between machines and panels, but also lowers cost of buying separate Ethernet switches while further reducing labour costs and cabling by a large percentage.
